Salary: Grade 2B, £25,119 - £26,873 per Annum

We are seeking an ambitious, self-motivated Technical Support Officer who can bring new experience and knowledge into our team, to assist in delivery of our Highway Licensing Activities.

About the role
We are seeking an ambitious person to join our team to assist in the development of various highway maintenance and asset management projects. The role will primarily be assisting the Engineers and others in the team with a number of tasks including taking measurements, producing drawings, assisting with problem solving and helping to develop solutions to sometimes complex highway matters. You will move around the team to develop an overall understanding of the team and will be encouraged to participate in any decision process to enable further experience to be gained.

* currently officers are working from home or in the Civic Centre (by prior booking arrangements). The Technical Support Officer role will from time to time require the officer to meet up with other members of the team at venues within the city council’s boundary.
