Job Description

AECOM’s Junior Digital Project Manager will work with the Digital Consulting Lead for Europe & India and Business Line Digital Community in supporting the management of digital projects from proposal through to completion, control and manage budgets and working with the Digital Leads to ensure resources are ready.

The job involves planning, delegating, tracking, reviewing, and measuring results — usually all done using project management software. You will play a pivotal role both in growing the AECOM brand by winning and delivering new work and driving the mind set shift to a Data driven business, using cutting-edge products and technology. Using your consultancy mindset, you will join the dots between real world customer challenges, Business capabilities, AECOM digital technology tools integrated with investments clients have already made.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Support clients by acting Client-side as Digital project management
  2. Work with the Digital Consulting Lead, to be the primary interface with AECOM clients (new and existing)
  3. Work on developing strong collaborative relationships with clients, stakeholders, and members of the multi-disciplinary project team
  4. Support Digital Lead in the delivery of Project Management commissions, taking responsibility for their successful outcome
  5. Manage the efficient delivery of project management team outputs, in accordance with agreed timescales and quality standards
  6. Support in the co-ordination and sign-off of all management information produced by the project management team prior to issue
  7. Participate in business development opportunities with existing and new clients, including cross-selling opportunities, ensuring that these are identified and acted upon
  8. Support in the Management of tender documents, appraisals and negotiations
  9. Assigning tasks and deadlines
  10. Scheduling frequent check-ins
  11. Clearing roadblocks
  12. Escalating challenges when necessary
  13. Providing status reports to Digital Consulting Lead & Data Science Director
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Proof track record of undertaking Project Management related roles
  • Willingness or already have obtained qualification
  • Knowledge of the project technology landscape, including key providers and platforms, together with deep-expertise in a minimum of one platform or major technology-enabled process
  • Ability to build advocacy for the role of digital technology in business delivery across diverse groups of individuals
Preferred Qualifications

  • Working towards Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Demonstrate ability to solve problems creatively
  • Show understanding of project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices
  • Willingness to see projects through the full life cycle
  • Strong interpersonal skills and extremely resourceful
Attributes/skills

  • Demonstrable experience in Project Management
  • Project/ Programme management– i.e., managing commercial success, risk, schedule
  • Knowledge of major software platforms including design review process
  • Previous responsibility for consultancy / IT / engineering project delivery
  • Knowledge of and practical insight into the latest digital processes and tools across infrastructure design, delivery and operations
  • Broad and deep understanding of organisational transformation (people, technology, process)
  • A strong customer-centric perspective that focuses on outcomes and whole-life value
  • Demonstrable passion for digital and delivering social, environmental and economic outcomes
  • Strong communication skills, polished writing and confidence presenting
  • Demonstrate ability to be a problem solver
  • Knowledge and proven track record of being data driven in delivery
